Doylestown Natural Medicine Center - Healthcare Is About So Much More Than Managing Symptoms

About

What does a healthy life look like for you?

Maybe it’s finally figuring out—and resolving—why you’re so tired all the time. Or regaining hormonal balance so you don’t have to deal with a painful or unpredictable cycle. Maybe you just want to feel better, more energetic, and more active in your life.

For me, a healthy life means living well with Alopecia Areata and Hashimoto’s—an autoimmune disease related to hypothyroidism. When people learn that I have these conditions, their response is usually something along the lines of, “But you look so healthy!”

That’s because I am.

I am healthy. I live a full, active, happy, healthy life because the care I give my clients is also the care I practice myself. That means understanding my body and what it needs to be in balance. It means feeding my body with nourishing foods, practicing self-care, exercising, and tapping into the medicinal properties of herbal remedies and supplements. It means building a lifestyle where my mind and body have what they need to thrive.

For over 15 years, naturopathic medicine has helped me take control of my life and my health. And I need all the energy I can get as a working mom raising two young daughters! After I had my kids, I struggled to regain the healthy lifestyle I’d created. It took hard work—and a little tough love from a friend—to get me back on track with exercise, nutrition, and self-care.

When a new client comes to me with a health challenge, feeling overwhelmed and like their life is spinning out of control, I get it. I know what that feels like. I also know there is a path forward, and that you have so much control over what that path looks like. And I know we can work together to shape the path that leads to the life you want.

I love helping people live their best lives with naturopathic medicine.

I’ve always been interested in health, nutrition, and the wisdom that different cultures bring to the practice of wellness. During my pre-med undergraduate studies at the University of Buffalo, I had the chance to travel and see some of these holistic and nature-based modalities firsthand, and I thought, “Why aren’t we doing more of this at home?”

After my pre-med studies I decided to study natural medicine at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2004 after passing board exams in my second and last year of study. Since then I’ve worked in private practice in New York and Pennsylvania, and in 2007 I founded the Doylestown Natural Medicine Center.

I help a wide range of clients realize their best, healthiest lives—from kids to seniors—with a special focus on supporting women in addressing hormonal disorders like PMS and thyroid issues, the challenges of perimenopause and menopause, chronic disease like high cholesterol and hypertension, gut health and gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, and auto-immune disease.

An expanded network of experts

One of the things I love most about naturopathic medicine is that it is holistic—naturopathic doctors look at the whole person. And because we do, sometimes we find areas where another professional can help. Over my years of practice, I have formed relationships with trusted experts like acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, and more. When we work together, my aim is to empower you to reclaim your health, and I am proud to be connected with a pool of vetted specialists and referrals so that you always have the resources you need to make progress towards your health goals.

You!

We would not be a team without you. Every person who reclaims their health is a source of encouragement, inspiration, and strength for the whole community. Together, we are building a common vision and experience of healthcare as personal, empowering, steeped in wisdom and science, focused on education and preventive care, and fully capable of changing lives for the better.
